so sue me for supporting earth hour. ganito lang kasi yan kasimple. kung wala kang gagawin para sa earth, wag ka magreklamo bakit napakainit.
makes sense to me.
i have no idea if any of my friends did support the said earth hour but, i somehow did. :) not that i hate people who did not turn off their lights, it's just that i don't get it why people complain about this and that about the environment yet do nothing.
anyway, since i was having dinner in the dark, i realized it would help me see if i'd just turn the tv on and watch studio 23's live coverage of the global event. and well, it was entertaining. and then i remembered that natgeo would be cutting their programs for the said hour so i checked if it was true. it was true that they were not airing anything, alright. instead they showed this video, which was made by wwf in lieu of the earth hour movement. and it was soooooo inspiring, i think i watched it for four or five times. (while i was switching between studio23 and natgeo, and yes, they had it on loop for the whole hour.)
as earth hour came to an end, i turned on my computer, and googled the video. grabe. this one's inspiring, and it only takes up about 3 and a half minutes.
Calling all incoming fourth year students of the College of Management and Entrepreneurship.
AmCham will holds its 7th Annual Business Orientation Program (BOP) on April 18 - 25, 2009 -- aptly themed "The Best Meets the Best."
This is a week-long program for University students consisting of breakfast with the CEO, Company visits, talks and a Business Plan project.
It's truly one of the best weeks of my life last year and if you have what it takes to be in it, go for it! You won't only learn from CEO's, business leaders, and students from other universities, you'll also definitely have fun. :)
this would have to be my advance apology for flooding your multiply inbox with late uploads. late as in literally delayed, and i am a month delayed with my picture uploading saga. oh well. to anyone whose face will be featured in my albums, go check out how you looked like during those times when all we did was have fun. i don't even remember some of the kwentos behind the pictures.
i guess this shows how busy i was in the past month that i couldn't even squeeze in my schedule uploading pictures i was fondly taking. (how grown up-py it feels to let someone now you're too busy to upload pictures. hahaha.)
actually, wala lang talaga. bored lang ako ngayong gabi at gusto ko lang magtype ng magtype.
because i am bored and i am a bum and i am running out of things that will keep my sanity intact, i am once again multitasking to make up for lost state of productivity which i should be in as of this moment.
and this meant that i am chatting slash uploading pics for pao slash watching the tv slash texting. hahaha. and oh. i channel surf too.
anyway...
i was switching between studio 23 and travel and living. i've been dying to see catch me if you can again and here it is on local tv. a few weeks back, monique announced that fun taiwan has evolved into fun asia so i checked it out tonight. and hello, they're featuring boracay, philippines.
blahblahblah and the guy there who acts as tourist guide then says.... (drum roll please...)
check it out. haha. click on my the home link or my name. yay! :D

because my multiply was under-appreciated before. it is worth more than any other account i have online. (or maybe it goes the same with my emails. haha.)
oh well.
the song's entitled c'est de l'or.
it's french for it is gold. google it up if you can't understand the lyrics. i, honestly, took a lot of time before i got it. haha. and it was so worth it. for my multiply. haha.
as for the artist, this is what i could come up with from my net search:
Born in Nice, France, on November 15, 1983, Francophone pop singer Jenifer (real name: Jenifer Yaël Dadouche-Bartoli) burst onto the French pop scene when she won the first series of reality talent show Star Academy in 2002. This victory (overshadowing her loss at a similar endeavor in 1997 on the television show Graines de Star) led to a recording contract and saw the release of her first single, "J'attends l'Amour," shortly thereafter. A self-titled debut album was not far behind and was a hit, selling more than 750,000 units. Touring followed, and her career took a short break when she saw in the birth of her son in December 2003. 2004 found Jenifer back on track, releasing her second album, Le Passage. A tour and live album, Jenifer Fait Son Live, followed in 2005. In 2007, Jenifer hit number one on the French album charts for the first time, with that year's November release, Lunatique. She also won a number of NRJ Radio awards, including Best French Female Artist and Best French Album, as well as a Best French Artist at the 2004 MTV Europe Music Awards. ~ Chris True, All Music Guide
do you have any idea how many meetings are lined up for this day? i lost count. and i never wanted to attend any of it. because they're all blah, pointless.
anyway, these are wala lang pictures.
i don't know how to describe them because describing them would mean telling a whole lot of story about an afternoon that just pissed me and i wouldn't want to go back to that moment.
when walking around the mall, what do you see? or what do you expect to see?
while walking my way through a big pool of people at the mall, i left my phone's camera on, in continuous mode as usual, and let it take pictures as it hung around my neck (which explains the blur). when i got to cdrking, i found out i got 25 shots all in all.
and as we all know, cdrking is known for loooooooooooong lines and while in line, i browsed through my pictures and learned that today, even if it was a sale, most people don't really shop anymore.
i guess the financial crisis really is hitting on us.
come on. there's a freaking mall-wide sale and you haven't bought anything?
weird. you probably came for the air conditioning. haha.
prior to this entry, i am now singing two songs in my mind.
good luck to me.
napapalingon tuwing ika'y dumadaan napapangiti, hindi ko alam ang dahilan alam kong hindi pwepwedeng maging tayo pero minsan nag-iiba ang ikot ng, ang ikot ng mundo.
it's fiesta day. and gelo's birthday. and the parade thingy.
i really don't remember that much. i woke up on this morning and i was greeted by the band outside the house because the kids' parade will be passing by. and i happen to see nica and gelo there. :)
i guess the laptop kind of sensed that it will be overworked again for the nth time during thesis presentation so it just died on me. hahaha.
a couple of days before this, it was running perfectly well. i even managed to finish two chapters of our thesis with this. although i remember sometime while working on the thesis, the antivirus detected a couple viruses. err. great. and i blame those viruses for the laptop's demise.
how weird. the laptop survived every bit of virus that came to its system for the past year and a half and it only crashed this time. i guess the laptop wasn't that immune at all. haha.
anyway. this are pictures i'm unloading from my phone. for about two hours, i did nothing but restart the laptop over and over again and every time i do, it just moves forward one step and it has to be restarted again. i lost count how many times i had to restart and at the end of everything, the stupid laptop just told me "beginning to dump physical memory."
and just like that, i gave up.
and oh. i learned that the laptop's keyboard keys are malfunctioning more now than ever. hahaha. i should get a usb keyboard.
or better yet, a new laptop. *christmas wish list hint hint. :)*
before ivan and i left for school the day before, i showed him the bulbasaur and squirtle pokemon sitting on my computer table. wala lang. they remind us of some people we know. *hint. hint. if you're a cme student, you probably know them. :)*
anyway, out of boredom, i took pictures of them.
literal na wala lang talaga.
calling all cme students out there, guess who they are... :)
after all the adventure we went through on this day, we still managed to pay ms. sam and everyone else in vrc a visit. *aminin nyo namiss nyo kami.* i think it felt like going around manila wasn't enough. i'm beginning to think manila is small. hahaha.
at this moment i can no longer recall the stamina we had to go to all the places we've been. it sort of felt like the amazing race. and yes, we had our own version of a prize. whatever the prize was, it's for us to remember. haha. *sabaw*
anyhoo. back in our internship days, calvin and i would play with the elevator buttons. wala lang. tamang trip. and it was fun and i miss doing it. too bad i was busy taking pictures and forgot the whole game. hahaha.
speaking of vrc, bridal fair's just around the corner. :)
if you think calvin is setting the bar high for sequence mode, you'd better think again.
ivan got hold of my camera and when i transferred the pictures to my computer, i was shocked as hell to learn that he too, has his own set of vanity shots. and yes, he also knows the definition of sequence mode.
how well does he know the definition? enough for me to make an animation out of his shots.
even if it's bawal, we still made tambay at the office. hahahaha.
we checked the papers anyway, so it's sort of legal to stay in there. there are still some things we have to do so we haven't left school yet. grab a camera, check the battery, and smile. you're sure to have an album of vanity shots.
vanity sequence mode shots always invade my camera once calvin gets a hold of it. and i just realized ivan joined in on the bandwagon too. *patay sakin tong dalawang to pag gumawa ako ng animations.* hahahaha.
not that i'm complaining, i like it when they are in charge of the camera. aside from the fact that i am left with a lot of images of their faces, this gives me a chance to do something else and let them capture things i can't see. although there's really nothing here except vanity shots. haha.
